| An online newspaper is not a print newspaper. It is, or at least should be, an interactive localized information system. In fact, it is useful to conceive of it as an information utility, because it provides immediate access to information or the transmission of information to all its users, who of course consist of readers, advertisers, and the publisher. Once a newspaper owner gets past this conceptual hurdle, it won’t matter that the online edition doesn’t look precisely the same as the print edition. |
