Three of our online newspaper sites that were on the same server have just experienced what we think was cybervandalism. We believe this because there were many simultaneous calls to the databases that are the bedrock of the newspapers, and many of the site hits came from servers in foreign countries. We are doing everything we possibly can to correct this problem as soon as possible. We are in fact moving the sites to other servers, so there may be an interruption of service of several hours.
The company that maintained the server where these newspapers have been hosted posted a suspension page that suggested that the problem was a billing problem. That is absolutely not the case. These newspapers are and always have been in good standing. The server company even agreed to redirect the suspension page to this page.
The newspapers involved are:

We are very sorry for the inconvenience that this has caused these newspapers and their readers, and we want to present our assurances that we are doing everything that we possibly can to correct this problem and to fight all forms of cybervandalism in the future.
